Ice Dam Causes Problems
This home was impacted when winter storms dumped tons of snow on our area. A ridge of ice called an ice dam formed at the edge of the roof. When an ice dam forms, it causes the melting snow to not be able to drain off the roof. When that happens, the water can back up into the home.
That is what happened here. The water backed up into the home and caused damage to the interior. The crew of SERVPRO of Layton/Kaysville was quick to respond and had the home repaired in no time.
